<title>Mr. Jeffrey S Dunn</title>

<description><![CDATA[ <p>Jeffrey S. Dunn is the Legislative Analyst for the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), the nation's largest Metropolitan Planning Organization comprised of 189 member cities in 6 counties throughout Southern California, encompassing a jurisdiction of over 19 million residents. Mr. Dunn maintains state and federal legislative tracking and oversight responsibilities on a broad range of regional issues, including surface transportation, rail, aviation, housing, land-use planning, design-build/public-private partnerships, Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA), and the reauthorization of SAFETEA-LU. Mr. Dunn is also the SCAG lead legislative staff for federal climate change legislation, state and federal greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) regulation, and SB 375 implementation - landmark state legislation to integrate California's transportation and land-use planning efforts to significantly reduce carbon emissions in the automobile and light truck sector by reducing vehicle miles travelled. Mr. Dunn's legislative career began as a legislative correspondent for the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, providing direct support to the Communications Subcommittee on issues related to cellular and satellite communications, cable television regulation, and FCC authority and oversight.</p>

<p>Mr. Dunn followed his Hill experience by becoming the Legislative Analyst for the Los Angeles County Superior Court, covering a wide range of state legislative issues affecting court civil and criminal operations, trial court funding and budget, juvenile and family law and courthouse security.</p>

<p>Immediately prior to his tenure at SCAG, Mr. Dunn served in a variety of capacities on the staff of the 2004 Wesley Clark Presidential Campaign handling fundraising, media/press, and field staff organization throughout the primary campaign. Mr. Dunn also served as a standing member of west coast advance for 2004 Democratic Presidential Nominee John Kerry. Mr. Dunn is a long-time resident of Santa Monica, California.</p> ]]></description>

<title>Mr. Bengt Söderbergh</title>

<description><![CDATA[ <p>Bengt Soderbergh, Sweden, has a Master of Science in Business and Economics with International Specialization, including Russian language studies, and a Master of Science in Sociotechnical Systems Engineering from Uppsala University. Bengt Soderbergh has been working with Uppsala Hydrocarbon Depletion Study Group (UHDSG) since August 2004.</p>

<p>Since January 2006 Bengt Soderbergh is a PhD student at the Global Energy Systems Group at Uppsala University, and his research project is about the potential peak of global natural gas production and its implications for the energy security of the European Union. The project is done in collaboration with the Energy Delta Research Center of the University of Groningen and the Energy Delta Institute, Groningen. Bengt Soderbergh's research work is primarily focused on Russian natural gas production, global natural gas production, Canadian oil sands and short- and medium-term global oil production outlooks.</p> ]]></description>

<p>Today, Hannes is as an independent management consultant supporting international companies and President of the Institute for Integrated Economic Research, an independent non-profit research institution founded in 2007. In his consulting role, he testifies on behalf of clients before public utilities commissions and state legislatures to promote clean energy. He writes as a freelancer as well as for AltEnergyStocks.com. He has a Ph.D. in mathematics from Purdue University, where he wrote his thesis on Complex Dynamics, a branch of chaos theory. His study of chaos theory led to his conviction that knowing the limits of our ability to predict is much more important than predictions themselves.</p><p>

Tom is a runner and a woodworker. He has completed two marathons in under four hours, and builds furniture in his spare time. He is currently planning a move from Colorado to Connecticut.</p> ]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[ Dr. Feng graduated and obtained his Bachelor's degree from University of Petroleum (East China) In 1988, with Management Engineering as his major. He continued his study and got his Master's degree three years later at the same university and has been teaching there for several years. Mr. Feng obtained his Doctor's degree on 10, October, 1997 from the Moscow Petroleum University, Russia. From August 1997 to July 1999, he served in Kazakhstan for the crude oil transportation and distribution. From October 2000 to September 2003, he worked in the headquarter of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). In September 2003, Dr Feng started his teaching and research career at China University of Petroleum, Beijing. He teaches the courses “International Petroleum Economics”, “Energy Economics” and “Peak oil” to undergraduates and graduate students. Dr Feng ever published more than forty articles and monographs.

He is the former Director of the Community Office for Resource Efficiency (CORE) in western Colorado. During his tenure, CORE's partnerships with individuals, governments and utilities led to Colorado's first solar energy incentive program, the world's first Renewable Energy Mitigation Program which has raised $6 million, the world's stiffest carbon tax, and some of the most progressive green power purchasing programs in the country. Udall is a Co-Founder of ASPO-USA and was one of the peak oil experts interviewed by the National Petroleum Council when they researched their 2007 report on the Hard Truths about Energy. He writes and speaks widely on why "energy is an IQ test Americans tend to fail."

<description><![CDATA[ Michael Webber is the Associate Director of the Center for International Energy and Environmental Policy in the Jackson School of Geosciences, Fellow of the Strauss Center for International Security and Law at the LBJ School of Public Affairs, and Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, where he trains a new generation of energy leaders through research and education. Prior to joining UT Austin, Michael was a principal investigator for analytical studies of policy issues relevant to energy, innovation, the U.S. industrial base, and national security at the RAND Corporation. Previously, he was a Senior Scientist at Pranalytica, a startup making high-fidelity sensors for homeland security, industrial and environmental monitoring applications. Michael has published more than a dozen peer-reviewed scientific articles; been awarded two patents; and given dozens of lectures, speeches, and invited talks in the U.S. and Europe, including briefings for members of Parliament, senior decision makers in Government, and executives in the private sector. ]]></description>

Ed was chief scientist and partner in Jonah Field, one of the largest natural gas development projects in the U.S. He maintains a close relationship with Colorado State University, serving as a faculty affiliate in Geosciences, sits on the Development Council, the President's Capital Campaign Task Force and the Geosciences Advisory Committee. His active association with the university began with yearly funding of a graduate teaching assistantship, seminars, discussions, and field trips he took with the university's Geology Club. Ed has funded two endowed chairs in the Geosciences Department, a spatial analysis laboratory, graduate teaching assistantships, and a research assistantship. His funding will further allow for the creation of an innovative community-based conservation institute, the Center for Collaborative Conservation, college-wide research grants, and further endowments to the Department of Geosciences and what is now known as the Warner College of Natural Resources. ]]></description>

He joined the Canadian public service in 1982, doing research first in coal liquefaction, then in heavy oil upgrading and then in the integration of community energy systems. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he developed and taught a course entitled “Climate Change Solutions.” He also writes a monthly column about climate change for SOLAR TODAY magazine. In 1978 he was national president of the American Association of Physics Teachers. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In 1969 and 1970 he was the elected Chair of the four-campus Faculty Council of the University of Colorado.  ]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[ Kjell Aleklett is Professor of Physics at Uppsala University, Sweden, and leader of Global Energy Systems research and the Uppsala Hydrocarbon Depletion Study Group. He holds a doctorate degree from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and worked as a post-doctoral staff scientist, 1977-85, at the Natural Science Laboratory at Studsvik, Sweden. In 1986 he was appointed as associated professor at Uppsala University and later as full professor. In 1978-79 and again in 1983, he was invited to work with Nobel Prize winner Glenn T. Seaborg, Lawrence Berkley Laboratory, University of California, Berkeley, California, USA. His interest in the global energy situation started in 1995 and has since then grown dramatically.  ]]></description>
